Carrying out works in the vicinity of Fluxys infrastructure: inform us
Any party planning to carry out works may be confronted with the presence of Fluxys gas transmission infrastructure in the vicinity of his building site. Informing Fluxys beforehand and taking the necessary safety measures helps to avoid accidents.

Which works?

	Anyone planning to carry out works at less than 15 meters of Fluxys infrastructure (stations, underground natural gas pipelines and cables) is required by law to inform Fluxys.
	This applies to all earthworks, road works, laying of pipelines and cables, drilling operations, construction of buildings, planting or uprooting trees, general earthworks, drainage works, piling poles and dam walls and traffic of heavy machinery.

Less than 15 meters distance? How can you find out?

	You are to first inquire with the competent municipal service whether Fluxys natural gas transmission infrastructure is present in the vicinity of the works scheduled.
	If Fluxys gas transmission infrastructure is present in the vicinity of the works, or in case of doubt, you must submit full documentation to Fluxys 15 working days at the latest before the start of the works. Full documentation should comprise all plans, technical details and working diagrams when available.
	Fluxys will then communicate if any safety measures have to be taken. You will also receive the indicative position plans of the Fluxys infrastructure concerned.
