21-08-2008 : Fluxys to boost available transit capacity
Fluxys will offer interruptible transit capacity in the Belgian natural gas transmission system as from 1 October 2008 under 1 year contracts. Shippers can subscribe to these new interruptible transit services between 22 August 2008 and 15 September 2008. These new services are available on the following transit routes: from ’s-Gravenvoeren to Blaregnies; between Interconnector Zeebrugge Terminal and Eynatten (forward and reverse); from Interconnector Zeebrugge Terminal to Zelzate; from Zeepipe Terminal to Blaregnies.

31-07-2008 : Zeebrugge LNG terminal now offers LNG loading services as well
LNG ships can now be both unloaded and loaded at the Zeebrugge LNG terminal. Fluxys LNG has launched its new LNG loading services in response to demand from terminal users to be able to better exploit commercial opportunities on the LNG market. New LNG ships or LNG ships back in service after maintenance can also be loaded, with the terminal offering the appropriate loading preparation services.

Articles in the Belgian press today question the quality of welding work conducted when laying pipelines for natural gas transmission. Fluxys wishes to point out that the company makes no concessions where safety is concerned, either when laying or operating pipelines. Accordingly, Fluxys deems the claims ventilated in the press to be misplaced and irresponsible.

02-07-2008 : Fluxys and GRTgaz to ease cross-border gas flows through shared electronic platform for trading capacity
Fluxys and GRTgaz have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on developing a shared electronic platform for trading capacity in both operators’ networks. Through this multi operator approach shippers will find it easier to optimize cross-border flows.
